THE STORY:

Intense heat and light pointed directly at each magnolia flower for exactly 60 seconds to capture these beautifully photographed images taken by Eliška Bartek. They are a true testament of resilience in the face of pressure and pain. Each flower appears to continue to illuminate and take it‘s final bow with the strength of both masculine and feminine energy in perfect harmony. They teach us to live out our greatest moments to the fullest, how ever long they may be, And inspire us all to become survivors of our own stories.

‘’I believe nature is always one day ahead of culture - But these flowers are more: they are terribly beautiful, dangerous, melancholic and romantic. I’m interested in the unconscious, the apparent and the implied mystical, which seems to be hidden behind what is depicted and not depicted.’’
